How to get there: From Sobhanighat Point in Sylhet city or from Osmani Shishu Park and Dakshin Surma Central Bus Terminal, take a bus to Sylhet Tamabil Jaflong and get off at Sarighat. It will cost 40 rupees to rent a car. You can use two roads to reach Lalakhal Tea Garden. You can reach Sarighat via Sylhet Tamabil road and go by road or boat or ferry through Sari river. Most of the tourists take the speedboat of Nazimgarh Resort along the Sari River. Again many go to Lalakhal by boat. It costs 500 to 600 rupees for a boat and 2,000 to 5,000 rupees for a speedboat. Small battery-powered vehicles ply along the Daudik Road north of Sarighat. The distance from Sarighat to Lalakhal 5 km is 15 rupees. While traveling on the river Lalkhal, the blue waters of the Sari river and the twilight on both sides of the river, the sight of village girls fetching water with pitchers is a sight to behold. During the day, hundreds of boatmen carrying sand and the winding path of the river will attract tourists of any age. The sight of Saotal women and young tea workers picking tea leaves in the garden area greatly enhances the attraction of tourists from far and wide.
